In groups of 3-5, you should design and implement a qualitative study based on a social or developmental psychology theme and individually produce a full report (Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, References and Appendices) not exceeding 2,000 words (excluding references and appendices). You will collect data using semi-structured interviews, then transcribe the data, and analyze it using Thematic Analysis.

• You will work first in small groups (of three or five, from your seminar group) to develop a topic and devise interview questions. You will then submit a group ethics application to get approval for your study.
• As a group you will gather data (each conducting one interview and transcribing it). You will pool the data so you have multiple transcripts.
• Individually you will analyze interview data and write up your report, and submit your coursework. You will need to submit your report by the 28th of March 10 am. The link for submission will be available a few weeks in advance. Work submitted late but within 24 hours will be reduced by 10% of the overall marks available for that element of assessment. If you submit your coursework more than 24 hours after the specified deadline you will be given a mark of zero for the work.
