Answer the following questions.

As we near the end of this course and begin to think about where to go from here, these readings explore important issues surrounding what it might look like to “take action” in response to global problems or to engage with the suffering of others elsewhere. The readings open important questions about the functioning of power in global citizenship, such as: who is culpable for inequities? Who has power to act? Who benefits from development efforts, and how? How do global relations of power (e.g. colonialism, racism, etc.) impact global citizenship, even in subtle ways? How might power be more equitably shared in international service learning and development work? As many of the readings reflect post-colonial perspectives, you may want to make connections back to previous readings on colonialism (e.g. Week 4 and others).

Please also comment on the ideas and information in the readings that you found interesting, challenging, or noteworthy in considering global citizenship.
