You are working for a multinational company IBM. IBM is looking for new investment locations. You were assigned a task to evaluate the possibility of investment to member states of the ASEAN Free Trade Area in 2023. You are required to write a report in which you need to*:
I. Evaluate whether ASEAN IDP stage fits to IBM investment needs:
a. Name ASEAN IDP stage and provide a general description of this stage.
b. Explain what type(s) of inward FDI ASEAN is most likely to attract at this stage.
c. Evaluate whether this stage fits IBM investment needs
II. Investigate whether the investment to ASEAN is associated with any potential risks and opportunities for IBM (you should focus on two of the three areas listed below):
a. Hiring and Retaining People
b. Production and Logistics
c. Research and Development
III. Recommend whether to invest or not (with a justification for this recommendation).
