Write a hypothetical research paper related to the topic of “Quality of Life of Older Siblings of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder”
1) Introduction: Provide a brief rationale for why you chose this particular topic. Clearly state
your research question. Use literature or social media evidence (these might be the same
sources as in the next section, or different) to illustrate your research question and to
demonstrate its importance. What makes you think your question is driven by a practicebased need, a knowledge gap, or both? – NOTE: YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO THE INTRODUCTION AS I HAVE CREATED ONE AND WILL SHARE A WORD DOC TO CONTINUE WRITING THE PAPER —> PLEASE READ THE INTRODUCTION SO YOU KNOW WHERE THE PAPER WILL GO FORWARD TO
2) Literature Review / Background: Examine previous research on your topic. What do we
know about your topic and what do we still need to learn? For this section, provide a
“review” of a minimum of 6 research studies. Provide a summary of each study including
its purpose, its participants, and how it was carried out, along with your assessment of
what this study does and does not tell us. Conclude your state of the evidence section with
a one or two-paragraph overview of the need for new research on your topic: how does
the previous knowledge lead us to your research question? Make a statement of your
research purpose, based on this conclusion.
3) Method: Propose a research study and describe the approach you would take to generate
new knowledge, most useful to answer your research question. Clearly describe your
imaginary plan. For example, who would be included in your sample, what will be your
criteria? How would you gather your sample? What would you ask of your participants?
What methods would you use to collect data, e.g., surveys, observations, participantobservations, interviews, focus groups, document analysis, or other? Why? Use at least
two sources about research methods to support your plan and justify your method
4) Expected implications: Explain why you think your proposed project will be useful for
program design and policy implications for families. Do not make assumptions on what
results you will come up with, because you cannot know and don’t want to be biased
before you do the study. Instead, propose how your research can make a difference, or
how your results might be used, based on what you know on the topic. What impact do
you hope your study might make? Who do you think will be interested in reading and
using your study?
Note:
– Minimum of 1800 word count to a maximum of 2000 word count
– I attached 1 journal article to guide you with writing the paper, but you must provide the other literature article
