As a final project, you will be continuing your research on a problem within a community system

and producing a public document that explains both sides of the issue. Students should spend at
least three hours volunteering/working with or on the community issue. This project will require
a presentation as part of it.
Use Library’s DEC300 Research Guide for your research.
Note: The presentation must be uploaded into both the Taskstream Assignment and the Moodle
dropbox.
Activity Instructions
 Choose an issue: In past Tiffin University core courses, you have been examining
community problems. You can continue to research that problem or choose something
new.
 Develop the project: See your annotated bibliography (from DEC 200 or DEC 250)
along with your research notes and other assignments from the rest of this term.
 Assemble research: Collect information on your issue. You can use your research
sources from past courses (Tiffin University core courses and major courses) as well as
the interview from this semester and any other new information you have found.
 Complete the project: Remember that the goal of this project is to present two sides of
an issue equally so that your audience can make their own decisions, despite your own
opinions.

 Create or include Video/Audio components to your Powerpoint presentation
 10-12 slides (Including Introduction and Conclusion Slides)
 Presentation must be at least 8 minutes and no more than fifteen minutes in length.
