Answer the following question as thoughtfully as you can on what you observe.

What are the different ways that people present information about themselves on the internet (e.g., pictures, essays, connections to other friend’s websites, links to products or original works, text and language)? (this section should be one or two paragraphs)
Next, review Goffman’s discussion of impression management and stigma from your textbook and/or any other quality sources on these topics. Imagine or recount a face-to-face interaction with one of the people whose webpages you reviewed and compare it to the interaction that you have with that person through their social media account. Generally, how would Goffman interpret these interactions?
Using a minimum of 3 references to the course materials (textbook, lectures, videos), and a minimum of one quality article from a peer-reviewed scholarly journal answer the questions below based on your observations and analysis of Goffman’s explanation of interactions.
How are these interactions different from one another?
Do you learn more about a person in face-to-face interaction or through the internet?
How is the management of personal stigma different on a web page than it is in face-to-face interaction?
Are relationships deeper and richer in face-to-face interaction or through the Internet? (this section should be 3-4 pages)
Next, review other theories presented regarding our roles in society. Using a minimum of 2 references to the course materials (textbook, lectures, videos) answer the question below.
What additional theory or theories can apply to how we can describe our roles and structures in person and virtually? Explain. (this section should be ½ page-1 full page)
