However the essay should focus on individuals with a diagnosed mental health condition and how social and environmental factors can further exacerbate their mental health status OR lead to other poor health outcomes too.
From the teacher: Breadth and depth is very dependent on your ability to a) address multiple aspects of the argument b) write concisely in a way that maximises information in sentences. Use support resources to improve your concise writing style.

Introduction (approx. 10%) – background information
1. Outline the social and environment determinants of health (ref).
2. Link the determinants and mental health (ref).
3. Could mention the theoretical framework you will be using to explain the topic (ref).
4. The aim of this essay.
Body – discussion (topic, explanation, evidence, comment, link – TEECL)
1. (T) What is the topic (ref).
2. (E) How are these people being affected to cause the issue. (ref).
3. (E) What is the cause of the issue (ref) and why is this issue happening (ref). Could use statistics of the issue here (ref).
How big is the issue – what part of these people are affected and how badly are they affected (ref).
Remember – use the theoretical framework eg. SEM and relate it to the issue showing all the interlinking of the different levels (ref).
4. (C) Argue the aspects of the issue (ref). Strengths and limitations of the evidence and how this evidence supports your claim.
5. (L) Summarise the main idea of the paragraph making sure it supports your overall argument.

Conclusion (approx. 10%)
