Read the case below and compose an adjustment refusal letter.  This should be structured as a formal business letter.  You should include all components of a business letter such as: date, your name, job title, the company you work for, etc..

You work in customer service at the headquarters of Petro Company, a large chain of gas stations. Today you must answer a complaint that you received from a customer whose car was damaged by the automatic car wash at one of your stations. When the car went through the wash, the whirling brush on the driver’s side broke the mirror. The customer says that when he complained to the manager on duty at the station, she called his attention to the sign at the entry to the car wash stating that Petro would not be responsible for any damage to the cars. She also noted that the sign says to fold in the mirrors of the car before entering the car wash. When the customer explained that his mirrors do not fold in, the manager said she was sorry but that there was nothing she could do. Using a link on your company’s website, the customer has written the company an email message. He feels that your car washes should be safe for cars like his, and he wants you to pay $100 toward repairing the damaged mirror. Write a response in which you refuse his request.
