Scenario:
Benny 24 yr old African American who was hospitalized for overdosing on fentanyl. He admits he has an issue with opioids since he worked in construction and injured his back. He has headaches, muscle weakness, inability to concentrate. When his insurance ran out he tried heroine. His girlfriend threatens to kick him out permanently because she wants nothing to do with a drug addict. Benny fears that he will be forced back on illegal drug uses since he can’t afford medical treatment. He reports being depressed and thought about suicide. He explains that his parents try to help him but because of his age his parents think the pain he has is all in his head. During the meeting Benny clasps his head and says “I’m getting one of my headaches.” He begins to shake and appears to lose focus.
