This assignment is designed to lay the foundation for writing a biopsychosocial assessment,
which is a tool that is used to better understand and assess clients. Students will write a
comprehensive self-analysis using theoretical framework studied in this course (Human Behavior in the social environment). The following
are areas that should be included in this paper:

A. From a biopsychosocial framework, students will address both opportunities
and barriers they have experienced based on culture, and how this has
impacted their world view.
B. Using theoretical framework regarding development/ identity formation,
students will describe how their identity has developed during their lifespan to
this point, including what has been critical in their development.
C. Students will address personal and professional values that are significant to
self and will reflect in the field. Students will analyze which values may be a
strength or a limitation in the field of social work. Make sure to reinforce this
using the NASW Code of Ethics.
D. Students will examine their family system. Discuss subsystems that make up
family as well as linkage of the family to influential elements in the
supersystem.
E. Students will identify at least 3 groups and/ or organizations (e.g., leadership
groups) in the larger environment that have been influential in their life (not
including family or peer groups). Describe how each has affected personal and
professional views of the world.
F. Students will briefly discuss three major events or factors in the macro
environment which have influenced them. This can include political or social
movements, national events, and or historical events.

A. Writing should be well organized and demonstrate continuity and fluidity,
including appropriate transitions.
B. Sufficient information should be used to support each point in the paper. This
includes appropriate use of theoretical framework; as well as content used within

Topics i would like to touch on IF they are fitting: adopion (my little brother was adopted, teem pregnancy (i got pregnant my senior year in high school, and social work( i was a depenendency case manager for 6 years) and being the first in my family to graduate college.
