Imagine that you are a developmental researcher and are interested in studying a new area of child development that you are currently unfamiliar with (i.e. the benefits and/or consequences of prenatal testing, how abuse and neglect during adolescence affects a child’s development to adulthood, what are the developmental benefits of sending your child to preschool, are there developmental concerns for children who are homeschooling, etc).
Once you have chosen your topic, it’s time to start researching to see what information is out there. You will be required to use a minimum of 5 scholarly articles throughout your paper, 3 are already provided. Your paper should include:
1. A description of your area of study
2. What research is currently out there on it
3. What other areas of study would be beneficial to look at to further understand your chosen area of child development
4. Why is your area of study an important aspect to child development
5. How will this information help you in the future
