The focus of this paper can be related to practice, following a particular theory of addiction, addressing family issues, working with co-occurring disorders or other special needs populations, using a particular treatment modality or counseling approach, a specific policy issue, etc.
1. Introduction – Explain why you chose this topic and why it is important and relevant to social work / psychology practice.
2. Key Points – Report research findings about the topic.
3. Analysis – Discuss the relative strengths/weaknesses of the arguments/perspectives/ models or theories. Include alternate perspectives or beliefs you find
4. Conclusion – Integrate this research with your ideas and experience with the topic.
5. Practical Application – How should this influence your practice?
6. References – At least four references from scholarly journals or books.
7. Format: Six to ten full pages excluding references. Typed, double-spaced, one-inch margins, font size 12 pt. Current APA style citations and reference list. Proper citations must be given for any ideas that are not your own.
