As the final project for this course, students will be required to develop a social media marketing plan for Buhi Supply Co. an e-commerce and retail bag supplier. It specializes in backpack, purse, wallet, satchel, and duffel products. Its business goals are to find bags that resonate with a design-conscious audience, manufacture them at affordable costs, and sell them for a profit at competitive prices.
Buhi aims to design functional bags that evoke nostalgia, bags with enough personality for even the choosiest of Millennials. This goal has been a driving factor that has helped Buhi’s sales grow significantly since it was founded in 2009. As the social media manager, your role is to help Buhi reach this goal by increasing the number of visitors on its website.
Submit the plan in a presentation format. Think that you are sending or presenting your plan to the top executives of Buhi Supply Co. You need to develop a visually attractive and concise plan submitted via presentation.
The social media marketing plan for Buhi Supply co. will be submitted as a PowerPoint/Prezi, Google Slide presentation with voice over. The presentation should include the following:
o Part A. Complete Social Media Marketing Plan
o Part B. Summary of recommendations for Buhi Supply Co.
Part A – Complete Social Media Marketing Plan. The following components are required for writing the social media marketing plan:
Executive Summary:
o Brief overview of the company and business landscape for the company’s industry
Social media strategy:
o Goals, SMART strategies/objectives and metrics.
o Main target audience and persona identified and why.
o Platforms and ad campaigns selection – share your findings on nicely and poorly
performed campaigns and rationale.
o Present examples of content and tone of voice to use.
o Main metrics and KPIs to evaluate.
Part B – Recommendations for Buhi Supply Co. What recommendations will you present to top
marketing executives of Buhi Supply Co. regarding social media awareness, engagement and conversion.
Think about your experience managing the social media platform and content, share success stories and learnings. Share what you would do differently if you had a second chance.
Important Rules for submission of Presentation:
Submit a Presentation with voice-over explaining your rationale behind each point. You can use
PowerPoint/Prezi and record your voice over each slide.
Presentation needs to have a Cover Page, and Sources page.
Be creative and concise. Do not include too much text on each slide. You can always add
‘speaker notes’ at the bottom of the slides for further explanation of your findings.
You must use at least 3 different sources dated 2012-present.
