This paper is your centerpiece of the work we have been doing in class. You will need to write a comprehensive paper outlining the basics of your constitution and analyzing the reasoning for each component of your design. In a sense you are to write a shorter equivalent to The Federalist Papers.
Your paper will need to include the following:
How is power distributed in your constitution, and what is your reasoning behind your basic institutional structure (parliamentary, presidential, semi-presidential, how many veto players are included)
Do you have checks and balances? How does that play out?
Where do we find justice in your constitution?
How your institutional design will fit the demographic, economic, and ideological structures of TUBDUB?
How your institutional design matches the preexisting institutions?
Does your final constitution create a majoritarian model or consensus model of democracy?
There is no particular order in which you need to address each question. Your paper should be between 6-10 pages in length at completion. I am more interested in the quality of work than the quantity.
