For this assignment, you will need to be creative. You will be making something that will demonstrate the required outcomes of learned information. You will be referencing a mental illness that we learned about in PSY2012 General Psychology. Look at the 4 options below and choose one.
Use the textbook and at least 2 other scholarly sources. Your explanation should be 800 – 1000 words (this does not include the creative portion, this word count is for the explanation portion). Every single option below requires you to use citations. Proper APA in-text citations are required during your written explanations (not in the creative portion). A reference page is required. Not referencing your sources is plagiarism.
Of the four options I’m choosing “Fractured Fairytale”
Fractured Fairytale:
Take a “classic” fairy tale and re-write it with at least one of the characters having a mental illness You may also choose something like a Disney movie or a children’s book.
Write it as a short story that addresses the issue (citations do not belong in this part – they belong in the second part – the explanation). Don’t forget to include the symptoms, any comorbid illnesses, treatment options, etc.
