For the final research paper, you must write a 4 page paper that will give you insight into the inner workings of your future career. For this paper, you must use at least three- five credible sources (these should come from scholarly databases (e.g., EBSCO) and/or the reference section of the library.) You will also be required to create a five minute presentation on your findings. The assignment will be broken up as follows:

Scholarly Research Paper (100 Points):
For this paper, you will use scholarly resources in order to explore a topic that corresponds to your field of study as a whole. For example, if you intend to become an English major, you may wish to conduct a literary analysis of a literary work. If you intend to become an educator, you may wish to explore a particular pedagogical theory. For this assignment, you will:
(1) Choose a field of study to explore
(2) Discuss an aspect of that field that interests you (e.g., a pedagogical theory, a certain medical topic, etc.)
(3) Discuss and explain your thesis as well as the ideas of others (including a counterargument)
(4) Evaluate, analyze and synthesize the arguments of others in order to draw a conclusion
