Write a five-paragraph essay (introduction, three main paragraphs, conclusion), 550-750 words, about the United States between 1865-1960 based on your learning in this class.
There is no single history of the U.S. during a particular time period. Even your textbook chooses what to include and what to leave out of a chapter or topic. While we should all demand that history be based on verified primary source material, every historian chooses what they think are the most important things to include in their story. You are the historian now. What do you think are the most important issues, events, and/or ideas during that time period? Write about at least three different issues/events/ideas. Include topics from both Unit 1 and Unit 2.
