Purpose:
This assignment aims to review & unpack Chapter 2: Rebuilding Lives; Against All Odds by Jimmy Patiño Ph.D. (pg. 33-58.) You will learn about local San Diego history and personal stories that illustrate the realities of who became Mexican-American and how it is experienced in the 1920s, the 1930s, and the 1940s.
Instructions:
1. Go to Latino Legacy – Timeline, Milestones, Stories (latinolegacyfoundation.org)
2. Scroll down to the multimedia online book project.
3. Cricallyy Read and Take Engaging Notes to Submit (1-page minimum)
4. Unpack Chapter 2: Rebuilding Lives; Against All by Jimmy Patiño Ph.D. (pages 33-58) and provide a content review of a minimum of 250 words with 12-point font and 1-inch margins maximum addressing the following questions:
a. What content do you learn and/or unlearn in the assigned chapter? Was the content new to you? What is its significance/importance?
b. What video or oral interviews helped you understand the era addressed in chapter 2? How so?
c. What aspect of chapter 2, helped you better understand or connect to the San Diego community? Explain how so.
