Choose an article related to a topic we have/will have covered in class and write an essay on it. The
article should be less than one year-old (as of the due date).
At a minimum, your essay should cover the following:
− An executive summary of the article
o Should not represent more than one third of your essay
− How the content of the article relates to what we have discussed in class
− Why you chose it
− What you learned in reading it
− Something you found intriguing in it
If relevant, you should expand on other aspects. For example, you could show:
− How the article relates to your personal experience
− How what you learned from the article could be relevant to your future career
Structure your essay and check it for grammar, appropriate use of vocabulary and spelling mistakes.

Submit only one Word or PDF document in Canvas comprised of:
– your essay, single spaced, 10-point font, 2-page limit, followed by, on a new page,
– the content of the article you chose (not a link), for example by copying the article’s content and
pasting it into the document.
Make sure that in doing so you provide the name of the author, the name of news outlet, the date of the
publication and the title of the article.
