write a Giving Voice to Values scenario of your own – one that would be more relevant to your life/the life of a college student/life of a recent college graduate.

Your goal is to write a Giving Voice to Values scenario of your own – one that would be more relevant to your life/the life of a college student/life of a recent college graduate.

This could be particularly useful if you think about a situation you could potentially face, and might give you useful tools later.

Your scenario must involve someone in a work situation (not about a student in a class). It can, however, be someone who has an internship or has just finished school and started working.

Here’s what I would expect:

You write the scenario, like what you’ve been reading in class.

You respond to the same questions you generally respond to (in writing, in what you turn in to me):

1. Who are the stakeholders? What is at stake for them?

2. What are the arguments against what your protagonist wants to do? (Come up with at least 4) Remember, these are the arguments against whatever he/she/they are trying to do. (Reasons and Rationalizations)

3. What are the arguments in favor of what your protagonist wants to do? (how can he/she/they make the case for his/her/their side?) Again at least 4.

4. What is the most powerful and persuasive argument? Justify your answer.

For the arguments (against and in favor), evaluate the options using ethical frameworks and ramifications of each option.

While there is no page requirement for this assignment, you must sufficiently develop the facts to set up the ethical dilemma. Review the assignment rubric. You must also use two source (other than your textbook or dictionary).
