1. Each presentation should explore two (2) key sociological concepts or issues that were covered in the readings. It is important that
you: (a) clearly identify. which concepts you are are exploring; (b) mention which readings these concepts are related to and
(c demonstrate how your family type is connected to these concepts/issues. [Some concepts to choose from include, but are not limited to, the following: colonization; assimilation; sexual identity; social construction; race; racism; feminism; gender socialization;
intersectionality; parenthood; disability; social class status.]
2. Each presentation should introduce a new piece of data to the class. This should be in the form of statistics. In addition, you must
show how your data are similar to (or different from) data sources used by other researchers /authors.
