Select an organization with offices in at least six states and evaluate the implications of having to comply with at least six different laws. Include the implications on data retention, head office functions, and the ability to comply with laws when citizens of one state visit another state where your selected organization has an office.
Instructions
Write a report that includes the following information for your selected organization:
- Interpret at least six states’ cybersecurity laws and regulations.
- Discuss the organizational impacts of having to comply with these laws in the state where the laws and regulations apply.
- Assess the implications of laws and regulations in remote states (not the originating state) and the implications when citizens from one state transact with the organization in other states.
- Evaluate options for the organization to respond to state laws that regulate them.
- Include a table that summarizes your information on state cybersecurity laws
