Write an essay that discusses the development of the African American community in the Bay Area after World War II.

Address the following:

• What challenges did area residents faces?
• How did they seek to confront and overcome those challenges?

Your responses MUST:

2. Not be answered in short answer form (i.e. answering each question separately and/or in the order they appear above)
3. Be grammatically correct and free of spelling errors.
4. Not use slang, colloquialisms, and text speech.
5. Be based solely on your reading/interpretation of the assigned documents.
