3) What types of sexual encounters did you experience from the ages of 13-18 and how did you feel about those experiences both then and now? Include some thoughts on how your experiences may impact how you work with clients, both positively and negatively. Discuss your beliefs, feelings, and opinions of relationships, sexual pleasure, and sexuality as an adult now. If you are an older adult, feel free to discuss how those things may have changed and developed as you have aged. You will find it is helpful to discuss their young adulthood separately from their middle adulthood.
4) What has primarily influenced your ideas about those topics as an adult?
5) Are you comfortable with your current sexual life both in terms of behavior and identity? If so, what has contributed to that level of comfort? If not, what obstacles are challenging you? Reflect on how your earlier sexual attitudes, beliefs, and practices may have changed over your lifespan thus far.
6) Finally, think into the future and imagine your older self in late adulthood. What do you hope for that person in terms of his/her relationships, sexual pleasure, and sexuality? Include some thoughts on how your experiences may impact how you work with clients, both positively and negatively.
