Yes I believe organizations differ from each other when placing importance on areas of the swot analysis. Thats what makes the markets and entrepreneurship so fascinating to me. You have the ability to do what you think works best. And the market will show you if it was a good thing or a bad thing. Say for example Target decided to place certain beliefs/values on its customers. I know they thought that it was a opportunity/strength. An it is of high importance to them. So this an example of a organization placing more importance of one area of the swot analysis. It turned out to be a threat and also a weakness to the company. We see that in targets stock price. Losing billions. The market has spoken and you see how certain ideas are working out with the american consumer. Budlight and target are examples of what not to place more importance on as a organization. Starbucks seen what was happing and they canceled there pride stuff for alot of stores and only had it in some stores. They didnt want the same backlash.
