Scholars must revisit and review policy regarding Criminal Justice Reform in Louisiana. Be sure to focus on the information contained in your case study literature review submitted earlier in the course. Search for additional information to better understand the literature. Perhaps visiting an online database regarding your topic. Revise the problem statement based on feedback by the instructor, including the element of clearly identifying a General and Specific problem that is solvable for reducing the recidivism rate in Louisiana.
Requirement: Include an introduction paragraph of the problem being introduced. Include a thesis statement. The background should be strong and compelling.
A title page and reference page aligned with the APA format. Must include in-text citations for references attributed.
Define the research topic and target audience, who are you addressing or writing to and why (We are addressing legislatures of Louisiana and community stakeholders).
Explain any key concepts learned in this course and explain a theory you may feel the target audience may or may not be aware of or familiar with regarding your topic and problem.
Add language from your literature review
Include historical data that would provide context that the legislature should be familiar with (hint, the policies document)
Try to give an example or a story that is meaningful or purposeful that change is needed and reducing the recidivism rate is significant.
Three to four pages minimum/max and one page for the revised problem statement. Do not exceed five pages. The title and reference pages do not count in the five-page total maximum allowed pages for the final project.
