I lived in Georgia all my life and moved to Illinois for college. This move was very hard to make but it was the best for my future. It took me a long time to adapt to the weather, culture, and food. To adapt to the culture of the Midwest, I made sure to communicate and ask questions with people that were born there to get their perspective of the new area. I like to learn, and it was unique to get to know other perspectives. The food was the hardest to adapt to. I am used to a variety of foods to eat back in Georgia because it is a very diverse culture, and Illinois food was dry. I would cook foods that I used to eat in Georgia.
