Have the authors a good track record in this area? (approx. 400 words)
• Further Work
What experiments would you to perform to further investigate this area of research?(approx. 400 words)

Note that reference list is NOT included in word count (but in-text citations are). Words in Figures/Tables/Legends do NOT count towards word count either.
Being able to write to a prescribed word count is an important science skill as many journals and funding bodies will often be very strict about adhering to a word counts, so the ability to write concisely and precisely is very useful.
Work in excess of the word count this may be subjected to the following penalties, in accordance with Ulster University assessment Handbook
+10% – no penalty
+>10% – 20% – 5% penalty
+>20% – 30% – 10% penalty
+>30% – 40% – 15% penalty
+>40% – 50% – 20% penalty
+>50% – maximum mark of 50%
If the work submitted is very much in excess of the limits set there is no expectation that staff will read the entire piece or provide feedback on every aspect.
