- How do you define the role, mission, values and attitude of a mental health couselor. Make sure to highlight how the helping role of a counselor is different from “helping” in general and from other helping professions.
- How does theory factor into your own view of yourself as a counselor? CBT and Person Centered Theory
- What does it mean to develop “the person of the counselor” as a person and not just a counselor? What steps can you strive to make to develop as a person, which will also make you a better counselor?
- How does social justice and advocating fit into your professional identity?
- What role does self care take in maintaining the ethical standards of best practice?
