Obtain metrics on 2 human resource variables that include either a minimum of 8 quarters or 3 annual data points.  Respond to the following questions in a paper:

  1. What trend do you see in the data points? How does this trend inform us? Explanation of the trend should discuss the variability, stability, direction, and fluctuations of the trend.
  2. Is there a comparison benchmark available? Does the organization use a national benchmark as a target?  If no benchmark is available, then search the literature for a recent similar benchmark that could be used to compare and contrast the organization’s trend.
  3. As a leader in your organization, who would you discuss this information with?
  4. What evidence can you find in the literature that indicates best practice and how would you go about applying this evidence to impact the issues identified by the metrics?

Support your responses with at least 3 scholarly sources that are not more than 5 years old. Your paper should be 6 pages in length including the title and references pages. Apply APA formatting to your paper and references.

HR Metric Paper Alternative: Once you have identified the metrics you are interested in, search the internet for reports that include these data. For example, I looked “nursing turnover” and found several reports that include metrics from consecutive years.
