Requirements:
Write a psychoanalytical criticism about “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe and explore the psychological aspect of the work such as the character’s psychological state or motivation. Make sure use use the attached proposal as a guide of what needs to be include in the essay.
Length: 1800 word minimum (not including block quotes or the works cited pg)
Format: MLA—margins, heading, font, spacing, in-text citations, works cited, etc. If your major dictates APA instead of MLA, just email me for approval to use APA instead.

Content: Scholarly analysis and argument
· NOT a plot summary. No paragraph should be devoted to simply summarizing plot. Instead, use plot details to demonstrate/prove your analysis though the paper.
· NOT merely a bio. The focus of the essay cannot be the author, the focus is still on the text.
· Makes connections between the text—the literature—and the secondary source materials you are incorporating.
· Uses multiple citations from sources in every body paragraph to substantiate the claim in the thesis.
· Uses all required sources at least twice each.
· Demonstrates organisation through a clear, strong thesis and topic sentences.
