  In this assessment, you will prepare and deliver a 10-minute, video-recorded presentation on major depressive disorder.
In your presentation you must include the following:
(1) a brief overview of the disorder, that includes prevalence statistics, and a brief description
of diagnostic criteria
(2) an explanation of how one major psychological theory or perspective views the
disorder (e.g., cognitive perspective), with reference to key symptoms
(3) a summary of one peer-reviewed original study that investigates this theoretical or
perspective’s account
(4) a reflection on a significant cultural factor that is relevant to the disorder, theory or
perspective, and/or evidence base  

 In
sum, more marks are on offer for depth, given the time limit (e.g., focusing on
a major theory, summarising an original study).
