Learning Goal: I’m working on a research & summaries multi-part question and need a sample draft to help me learn.
Research Methods
Guiding Principles of Institutional Review Boards
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFik0of3iUM
After watching the video, answer the following:
- Why do we need IRB boards? As a college student, if you have an interest and the means to research something, why can’t you just do it?
- Who serves on IRB boards? Why is it important that these people are vetted/qualified?
- Write an imaginary scenario in which someone could use research in a harmful way.
FINALLY, I will give one extra credit point to the first person who can answer this question: At MASU, we don’t have an Institutional Review Board. So, who would you petition if you wanted to do research?
