Assignment Purpose:
Entrepreneurs are idea people. They MUST be innovative if they are to both succeed and remain competitive. Even opening a so-called uninventive business like a car wash or auto repair shop requires innovation in service and product delivery methods. If you act like an idea person, you will eventually become one. It both the intentions and going through the motions that count. In this course, my goal is to help you exercise your imagination and creative through patterns to improve them. One way is to daily have a quota of new ideas you must generate. Paying attention to an analyze what’s happening around you, deliberately introduce changes into your daily routine, and fill your mind with all kinds of new information from blogs, padcasts, books, and articles.
Assignment Requirements:
In a Microsoft Word document, start an idea log (creative journal) this week. Using all of the tools of ThinkerToy Mind Pump exercise (attached), generate 15 new ideas of inventions or significant modifications to existing products or services. These will be graded based on their novelty. Do not simply list ideas for new businesses that exist.
