- Each student is required to provide an initial statement corresponding to the discussion topic by the Wednesday of each week of graded discussions. The minimum word count for initial posts is 200 words. The initial post must include a minimum of one peer reviewed journal and the course textbook as references to support statements. Each student is expected to respond to discussion post of other students during the week to maintain the discussion progression. A minimum of two response posts are expected each week on other students’ posts. The minimum word count for each response post is 100 words. The initial and responses will be graded using a rubric. The rubric examines critical analysis (Insight and reflection), quality of information and effectiveness of communication.
- The posts need to be supported with facts from legitimate sources not just opinion. The postings should reflect individual comprehension and inquires of the material and include supporting information that is properly referenced. The posts must reflect graduate level work and provide critical analysis of subject.
