Time Management

Learning Goal: I’m working on a management question and need a sample draft to help me learn.

Instructions:

Finding Time to Lead

The best leaders are experts at managing their time. They are ruthless at prioritizing, delegating, and executing with maximum efficiency. Your goal in this assignment is to find a way to get one hour a day back so that you can be more strategic with your time. This means you have more time to organize, prioritize, strategize, decide, think, or to do the deep work that allows you to perform at the highest level.

Part 1: Articulate the Problem: What gets in your way time-wise? Is it a distraction, low energy, personal issues interfering with work or school, or too many “urgent” tasks keeping you from the important tasks? ( 1/2 page).

Part 2: What does your ideal day look like? That is if you could, where would you spend your time and why? How would this help you in life or work? In short, what are your priorities? (1/2 page)

Part 3: Solution: Based on our course content, what might you do differently to carve out time for what is important to you? Develop a strategy for doing this, map out a new calendar, and discuss how you will measure success and hold yourself accountable. (1/2 to 1 page plus appendices)

Total assignment length: 3 pages, single-spaced including appendices.

(my opinion is the following sentences)

part 1 my problem: Distraction from video games, going out, etc

part 2 ideal day looks like: being super productive in terms of workout, doing assignments on time, eating my healthy prepared meals, and calling my family from overseas

part 3 solution: minimizing time wasted in video games, etc. Start new good habits for personal development like reading a book every month.
