For this written assignment, you need to submit your topic idea for your final paper. You cannot complete the Literature Tables Assignment (in Module 3) or your Research Paper (in Module 5) until this topic is approved. Be sure to include the following information in your assignment:
Life stage in which you will focus for your final paper (e. g. adolescence, adulthood, pregnancy, menopause, older adult)-Pregnancy
Mental health issue you have selected- Anxiety-or Depression
select an abused substance (e. g. alcohol, nicotine, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, hallucinogens) –
Include at least 3 examples of scholarly articles you plan to use in your final paper.-
Guidelines for this assignment:
This will be a brief overview of your topic idea. It should be no more than 2 pages.
Citations for your scholarly articles should be in APA format. You do not have to include the article, just the citation.
This should be written in a Word document and uploaded to this assignment space.—
2.Discussion– Analysis of a Scholarly Article –
In this discussion post and in order to get you more practice in summarizing, critiquing, and analyzing scholarly articles, you will choose one of the articles you will use for your final paper. Be sure to include the following:
What is the topic of this paper? What are the major aims?
Summarize the literature in the article.
Create some discussion points for your fellow classmates based on your assessment of the article.
Since you have read the article and have the most knowledge about this article. Act like the teacher in this case and instruct your fellow peers on the major points of the article.
Either provide a link or attachment to your article or the APA citation.
Discussion Participation Guidelines and Tips
Your initial post should be a logical and thoughtful response to questions posted and typically should be at least 250 words.
