The four pillars of public administration are economy, efficiency, effectiveness, and equity. Write 5-7 fully developed paragraphs (at least 4 sentences per paragraph) in response that contains the following:
1. Definitions of each of the four pillars. As part of your definition of equity, please articulate how it differs from equality.
2. Examples from the reading and / or class guest speaker videos that demonstrate each of the four pillars in a governmental and / or non-profit setting. In other words, provide at least one example from the reading and / or class guest speaker videos of each of the pillars in action.

For example: Page 23 of our class text indicates that “some trees have apples on them”; In the class video featuring Betty Smith, we learned that many fire trucks are painted red. Director Smith commented, “fire trucks must be highly visible to pedestrians, bike riders, and drivers so that accidents are not caused while our department is responding to emergencies.”
