Please add on to the attached powerpoint presentation. Please fill out five ORS and SRS rating scales as a mock client (please have an upward trend), and the using the raw data create a bar graph demonstrating the trend over five sessions for both the ORS and SRS. I have added two slides on the powerpoint where the bard graphs should be inserted. Please also include the raw date sheets attached.
Data Collection—Method for Creating Practice-based Evidence (15 points): Data collection
will use the Outcome Rating Scales (ORS) and Session Rating Scales (SRS) developed by Scott Miller and Barry Duncan (see attached). These broad, generalized, scales fit a variety of approaches and practice settings.
Each student will complete a minimum of five (5) Outcome Rating Scales (ORS) and Session
Rating Scales (SRS) to track therapeutic change. Students will conduct the scales with their
clients to access levels of distress, help measure progress, and measure therapeutic alliance.
Students will present findings during the final clinical demonstration.
Qualifying Demonstration of Clinical Expertise (55 points) Please use the conceptual framework that I have already included in some of the slides Emotion-Focus Therapy and the work of Virginia Satir. I have also attached an article that breaks down how these are integrated. Please pull from this article and any other literature on EFT and Satir. Please add in more details in APA format and include all references on the last slide.
Guidelines:
Each student will make a final clinical demonstration that presents 1) the outcome of your
clinical development this quarter on therapeutic use of self through in-session process, 2) a
complete analysis of ORS and SRS ratings over 4-6 sessions presented in graph form, and 3)
your integration of course concepts with the ORS and SRS data. The presentation should
include a PowerPoint including the following elements:
a. The conceptual framework that guides your work.
b. References to the literature that support your framework.
c. Specific emotional and therapeutic awareness that you applied to your clinical work
along with your learning from the analysis of the ORS/SRS data (i.e. how you adjusted
the therapy based on ORS/SRS data).
d. Brief video clips that illustrate your awareness emerging from your emotional response
to the clients and the key clinical choices you made as you worked with their in-session
process.
e. Integrative conclusions of what have you learned? What are the next steps for you? How
this work differs from other clinical approaches to the kinds of cases that you present
here?
