Responding to ratcliffe

Step One: Read Rhetorical Listening: A Trope for Interpretive Invention and a “Code of Cross-Cultural Conduct” by Krista Ratcliffe and the NY Times article, “What if Instead of Calling People Out, We Called Them In?” by Loretta J. Ross. (UCSD students have free access to online NY Times via the library.)

Step Two: Draw on the Ratcliffe and Ross pieces to inform your answer to the question, “What do you think needs to be done to get people to respond to the climate crisis? How do these authors enrich your understanding of what is needed?” Be sure to close your response with a question.

Then, reply to another person’s submission to the discussion thread.
