Gamers8 is the biggest gaming and esports festival in the world. With over 8 venues and over 200 activations at the Riyadh Boulevard City, along with $15 million worth of prize pool for the elite esports tournaments. The event was a massive success with over 1 million visitors over 8 weeks, and over 100 million unique viewers on the esports broadcast.

The core idea of the festival side of Gamers8 (not the esports) is to create an event that truly brings the virtual world to the real world, and to give visitors experiences that they would not be able to find elsewhere.

You are currently in contact with PUMA to be a sponsor of Gamers8 and they have already expressed their interest in the event. They are already interested in the branding, social media posts, and basic visibility at the boulevard. However, a brand such as PUMA would like to have a bigger impact during the event other than just simple visibility. They want to have big activations which will make waves across the world and promote PUMA’s products and more importantly; PUMA’s values.

Kindly give us 3-5 ideas to best promote PUMA through Gamers8:

This assignment is to asses how well you can understand a sponsor’s needs and think of ideas that match the sponsor’s brand positioning while at the same time matching Gamers8’s theme.

You will not be assessed on how good the presentation looks or with the photos you add to the presentation. A brief explanation on each idea and a few bullet points to why this idea fits PUMA’s brand is more than enough for this assignment.

The ideas can be as big as you want them to be. Just a few examples of how big your ideas can be:

o Close off King Fahad Road to have a fashion runway and photoshoot for Neymar. With KAFD as the backdrop for the photos with holograms to show PUMA’s logo & Gamers8’s logo across all the buildings. Then selling the same products in that fashion show at Gamers8 at a PUMA booth.
