Romeo & Juliet: Summative Assessment
THE PROMPT:
Over the course of this unit, we’ve spent a lot of our time looking at the power of decisions driven by both logical thinking and emotional impulses. Navigating between these two forces is something that the characters in our unit do constantly, much like we do in our own lives.
In this essay, we will explore the experiences of the characters in the play Romeo & Juliet as well as our own. Using the notes and ideas gathered during our close reads, answer our unit essential question with your own original claim supported by evidence from the play and additional sources. This essay is an argument, so be certain that your evidence is used to prove your claim, not to summarize plot points from the play.
Which is the best way to live life: listening to my head or my heart?
