a health policy issue that matters to you. To do this, think about a friend/family member that has/had a health issue.

Tap into a health policy issue that matters to you. To do this, think about a friend/family member that has/had a health issue.
What barriers exist for that person as they try to lead a healthy life? Or, what helps that person to lead a healthy life?
What policies are responsible for those barriers or facilitators? Choose one of these.
All policies are developed at particular points in time, in specific social, political, and economic environments.
In this paper, describe the history and background of the health policy you have chosen, using the following prompts as a guide. Briefly describe the health issue/problem that your policy was designed to address. When and
 how was your policy developed?
Why did it come about at that time?
How (if at all) has it changed over time and why (consider possible political, social and/or economic circumstances)?
How have those changes affected the population(s) you are interested in?
Conclude with a brief description of the present-day policy.
