Learning Goal: I’m working on a chemistry and need to help me learn.
A chemical bond is an attraction between two or more atoms that allows the formation of chemical compounds. These bonds are formed by the sharing or transfer of electrons between the atoms involved in the bonding process. The most common types of chemical bonds are covalent bonds, where atoms share electrons, and ionic bonds, where electrons are transferred from one atom to another. There are also other types of bonds, such as metallic bonds, hydrogen bonds, and van der Waals forces, which play important roles in the behavior and properties of different chemical compounds.
