Select a real-life example of a perjury case you have read about or seen on television.  If none, then do a web search to find one. 

Step 2

Write a 250 word paper that discusses the elements of perjury.  You must show where these elements appear in the facts of the case you chose.  You must also indicate what was the issue in the case, how did the court rule in the matter, and discuss why the court decided the way it did. Also, discuss a possible defense to perjury that could have been used in the case.  

To receive full credit, you must use proper Blue Book citation format, correct grammar, spelling and sentence structure.   This writing should be in your own words. Do not just cut and paste parts of your case into your writing unless you are using a direct quote of a few sentences.  Citations must be used for direct quotes and paraphrasing. Also, the paper MUST be within the 250 word limit, no more or less
