    Choose one of the films listed below. Use your discernment to determine what is appropriate for you to view.     View the film you choose at least once. (Two viewings will offer a distinct advantage). Then, after reviewing your notes and readings, identify and explain three theoretical perspectives illustrated by each film.

  •  The 6-8-page paper will consist of the following:
    • A title page should include the full title of the paper, the course name, the course number, and the instructor’s name (APA format). 
    • A brief introduction, in which you will introduce the movie, three theoretical perspectives and grab your audience’s attention
    • An analysis of the three theoretical perspectives and social factors contributing to the juvenile delinquency you find in the movie. Most students find it best to spend 1 1/2 – 2 pages on each theory, providing support from peer-reviewed journal articles, and brief illustrations from the movie
    • Conclusion, synthesizing theories and illustrations
    • Six to eight cited references (with at least 2 per theory), with parenthetical references within the text
    • Do not waste a lot of the paper summarizing the film; describe just enough as is necessary to illustrate the theories.
    • Use headings of the above to help you construct and help me grade your paper.

    The cited references must be current (within the past five years), peer-based journal articles. In addition to the required number of citations, you may also include older classic studies, the text, open-access journals, and biblical references. Originality and thought are also important, so avoid quotes.
