For this paper, you will discuss one recent news article (provided below) that directly relates to memory and cognition, applying concepts and information found in the textbook or lectures. The news stories include topics such as the impact of trauma on memory, how concussions impact sound perception, why you should take fewer pictures to improve memory, and many more. You MUST pick one of the news articles below for this assignment. BE SURE TO REVIEW THE RUBRIC PROVIDED BELOW.
In the paper, you should:
Choose one of the news articles provided below (also posted in the “Current Events Papers” Module). I’ve attached a copy of the article I chose called- Almost 1 in 4 People with COVID-19 Have Cognitive Effects Later
Summarize the news article in 1 paragraph (i.e., 3-5 sentences).
Use the bulk of the paper for a discussion of the article with respect to course material and at least 2 peer-reviewed journal articles- These are the links to the 2 peer-reviewed articles I chose-

This is not a reaction paper – your paper should focus on the information found in the news article/podcast, textbook, lectures, and empirical journal articles – you should not provide personal information or discuss what you think about the topic.
Each paper should be between 2 and 3 pages (not including a reference list), double-spaced with 1” margins, using 12-point Times New Roman font. You must submit a Word or PDF document for review. A title page is NOT required. The only 3 references should be the ones provided, which are the Article itself, and 2 peer-reviewed journals. I’ve also attached an example of what the Article review should look like.
