assessment of the family; and (b) provide an overview of how treatment might proceed, including
theory-based goals and a clear description of two theory-based interventions (intervention
description: what might the therapist do or say).

Tanner family. The mother is a Caucasian 58 year old nurse named Amy. She
struggles with Lupus, and is not very active. The father, a Caucasian 57 year
old named James works part time at Fed-Ex. He is in good health. They have been
together for 30 years. Together, they have two daughters very close in age.
Anna, the youngest, is a graduate school student focusing in the field of
psychology. Lana, the eldest, is a 28 year old college graduate who is away
from the home, mostly, staying with her boyfriend Nate. The two daughters are
not currently in work. The family lives in a small town close to Nashville, TN.
They have two small dogs and one cat. The mother and father do not have many
hobbies, and they mostly stay at home when they are not working.
