When evaluating your discussion consider the following:
1) What is the premise of the book and the films? Summarize the main ideas presented and
briefly reflect on how they come together in a narrative.
2) Interpret in your own words how this book presents the concepts of evolution and extinction.
Compare to the history of how dinosaurs were introduced to American culture versus European
culture.
3) Compare to the ideas we have discussed in class and what is stated in other scholarly
publications. You can quote directly, paraphrase, or cite statistics or data from different sources.
4) Do not tell me what you think I want to hear or might agree with. Truly take the time to
express your own ideas and opinions.
