Choose A TYPE (Not a Case) of crime (eg. Violent crime, property crime, white collar crime, drug crime, and so on), and then select a specific criminological theory covered in this course (eg. Social disorganization theory, social control theory, and etc.) that can provide the best explanation of the crime you chose. Do research about it from various sources (a minimum of 7 references). DO NOT summarize the textbook/class notes. Describe the type of crime you chose (in terms of general characteristics of the crime, its seriousness, prevalence/statistics, societal impact, and so on), and explain the theory you selected in detail by providing such information as important concepts, propositions, causal process, and so on. Make a strong connection between the crime and the theory. Based on the theory, develop your own policy/program to control the crime and describe it in detail! A minimum of 6 full pages of text (references won’t be counted as a part of this requirement) – at least 22 lines for each page, double-spaced, Times New Roman Font-size:12, with 1-inch margin. No heading is necessary!
